Tribalj is situated at the crossing of roads between Drivenik and Grižane. An Old Croatian necropolis is discovered in Tribaljs hamlet Stranče, which is dating from the end of the 8th ct. to the 11th ct. In 1804. Tribalj becomes the parish of Blessed Virgins Visitation to Elizabeth, the church is expanded and afterwards receives the main altar from Tirol workshop.
