THE RUINS OF THE CHURCH OF ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST in Rab, are the remains of a complex building (church and monastery), originating probably from the early Middle Ages, and it was rebuilt in the 12th and 15th c. These remnants present an exceptionally rare example of a peculiar ground plan. Only a Romanesque bell-tower, the base and parts of the colonnade of a three-nave church and a restored deambulatorium are left from the former basilica.
