Punat panorama with an islet of Košljun
The Punat District consists of two villages: Punat and Stara Baška. It is situated in the southwestern part of the island of Krk, it expands over an area of 38 km2. The district area ascends gently from the sea towards the central part of the island. The littoral is well-indented, and spreads from cove Zala to cove Puntarska. On this stretch of the coast there is also cove Stara Baška, as well as a number of smaller coves and capes.
