OMIŠALJ - The position

The Omišalj district territory includes an area of 33 km². It is situated in the south-western part of the island of Krk, and it draws closer to Rijeka with its southern part, cape Lanterna, at a distance of less than 500 m. The land configuration is uneven, mild slopes interchange with steep and rocky parts of the territory. The littoral part is indented. The long bay of Omišalj dominates the western side of the district, with many colourful coves - Beli Kamik, Kijac, Blatna, Sepen etc.
